Jona Café - "Mom and Pop" Fine Quality for a Delicious Naples Breakfast or Lunch

When I go out for breakfast, Jona's is one of my top pics for delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and great prices. It's also my place to meet people for breakfast- I am not normally a "breakfast person." Naples' tourists flock to several well known breakfast and lunch spots. That's fine for me. My friends and I choose to relax in less noisy, congested settings.
Why wait an hour for a seat, or try to talk above the noise of other tables?  Jona Café ably and comfortably fits the bill!

The Café is in the same U-shaped plaza as Outback Steakhouse, on the South side, across from Outback, however it doesn’t face US 41. This site was formerly home to a string of restaurants, including C’est Bon, Dolce & Banana,. Taj of Naples, Tropical Smoothie Café and most recently a Chrissy’s.
Astrit and Albana Dervishi welcome you like family with a smile, and remember you. Bonus- they greet you with  bigger smiles on your next visit to their lovely "Mom and Pop" Café!  The staff keeps your coffee topped up with a smile. Sure, they get busy at times, they still keep an eye out for your needs.

The Dervishi’s bring their desire to offer filling plates of healthy foods from Bekat, Albania’s oldest city. They formerly operated the Quiznos in the nearby Park Shore Plaza. Their touch put that particular Quiznos’s taste ahead of the other branches. When they opened Jona Café, their loyal clientele happily followed.

“Jona” Cherries French toast ($6.99) is a portion sized for two lighter eaters or one healthy appetite. Succulent warm wedges of French toast are bathed with luscious warm dark red cherries and pecans sautéed in a reduced brandy-butter sauce. Lightly dusted with powdered sugar and accented by freshly whipped cream, it’ll satisfy a serious sweet tooth!
I added the bacon- two thick pieces of crisp, lean bacon- of far higher quality than I’ve had in the area.

Try a crisp potato pancake with biscuits, gravy and ham.
The portabella mushroom, Swiss & bacon burger (7.99) is a large burger cooked your way, topped with a generous portion of Swiss cheese and crisp bacon and garnished with lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle. It includes your choice of fresh fruit, potato salad, fries, cole slaw or pasta salad. There’s something healthy for everyone!

I favor the Western Burger, with BBQ sauce and crisp onion rings-thse are among the best onion rings around! The scoop of potato salad is a good tasty portion.
The steak special is tender and lightly seared, with fresh grilled vegetables and rice.
Lunch specials are the real deal at $5.99, with choice of chicken carbonara pasta (linguini pasta tossed with grilled chicken, bacon, mushroom in Parmesan cream sauce), grilled fish of the day, Monte Cristo (thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese on challah bread), and Black and blue salad ( baby mixed greens with tomatoes, onions, red bell peppers, poertabella mushroom, crumbled blue cheese and fininshed with a NY steak. Choose from over forty items.

They are said to serve some of the best crispy onion rings in Collier County- I agree.
I  will be back for my BBQ burger, and   try more dishes-as soon as someone to ask me to "do brunch."

Stop by for down home friendly service, delicious food and good pricing. It only gets better with each visit!
